Welcome to the White River Project Showcase. Each quarter we will showcase a project that our design team recognizes as a standout for incorporating mouldings and millwork into a new construction or remodeling project. To submit you project please email a brief description of the project and 2-3 images to projects@whiteriver.com.
Our second project showcase recently was featured in the East Texas Builders Association Parade of Homes in November 2010. We would like to thank Richard Rogers Builders and Jonn Spradlin for their continued support.
Project Summary
Project Home: Griffin Residence
Project Location: Kilgore, Texas
Builder: Richard Rogers Builders
Designer: Jonn Spradlin
This home, located on Lake Cherokee, was featured in the East Texas Builders Association Parade of Homes in November 2010.
The Project: GRIFFIN RESIDENCE
This eclectic home naturally blends with the heavily wooded East Texas piney woods, while capitalizing on the view of Lake Cherokee. The Great Room is the focal point of the home, with a soaring 25-feet ceiling and a 40-foot wide view of the lake.
Designer Jonn Spradlin enlisted the use of White River's Design Services to create the ornate ceiling in the Great Room. All mouldings and carvings, including custom products, were also manufactured by White River.
This European-inspired room features 12 stages of moulding and a 12-foot center medallion. Gold leaf mixes with hand painted reliefs and a variety of designs. The relief on the ceiling is four feet deep with unmatched architectural detail.
To complement the gorgeous ceiling, Sound Logic Integrations transformed the ceiling into a virtual light show. More than 2,000 linear feet of LED lighting was installed in the house and can produce more than 1 million color combinations.
The attention to detail does not end with the Great Room. The Master Bedroom, Bathroom, and Dining Room all boast expert millwork design.
