White River Unveils New Scrolled and Mission Corbel Collections
Scrolled and Mission Corbels Offer Innovations in Designability
FAYETTEVILLE, AR (May, 2007) White River ™ — a leading manufacturer of hardwood mouldings and handcarved architectural woodcarvings — announces its newest offerings — the Scrolled and the Mission Corbel Collections. Just recently available, these handcarved corbels will captivate the design community. "White River — historically committed to classical architectural millwork — is pleased to provide designers with what they have been asking for," says Richard Enriquez, Director of Marketing. "Never before have designers seen anything like it — the new Scrolled design is completely original and gorgeous," adds Enriquez. The Scrolled Collection includes five different sizes with heights ranging from 7" to 26", allowing designers maximum application potential in beautiful kitchen design.
Inspired by Sicilian antiquity, the Scrolled corbels are dramatically handcarved and an excellent choice for multiple applications in the kitchen, library, entryway, or corridor. Old World Sicilian charm — which employs embellishment — is a dominant style in interiors across the country. "Designers will love the deep fluting and the finishing palmette," says head designer Joan Johnson. "Our scrolled corbel — gorgeous and sophisticated — is a must for designers who realize the focal statement that corbels make within an environment," adds Johnson. Five different designer sizes of Scrolled corbels are available in Maple, Cherry, and Lindenwood.
"The U.S. is having a love affair with the Mission and Craftsman decor and White River has responded to this sensation," says designer Amy Underdown. Masculine yet with dynamic curves, the Mission corbel reflects America's historic tapestry imbued with influences born from the Moorish Kingdom and Colonial Spain. "Our Mission Collection — ultimately simplistic — is a must for designers who want elegant millwork without a lot of ornament," Adds Underdown. The Mission's beautiful, simple lines turn a conventional millwork package into a polished, yet understated interior. Five different accommodating sizes of Mission corbels are available in Maple and Cherry for applications in kitchens, libraries, and living areas.
